Doris (Schwartz) Martinez moved to WV with her four daughters in 2021 to help with the bakery project that owners Joe & Verina were starting. With years of baking experience, both personally and professionally, Doris brought an invaluable knowledge base of product ideas and skills that were formational in developing the line of baked items we offer to this day. If you patronized the Bakery Barn in the early days, you’ll remember Doris sitting under a roadside stand or in a storage building with stacks of fresh homemade cakes, donuts, pies, and breads, all of which she had a hand in producing. While Doris has moved on to other pursuits and the days of the roadside stand are years behind us, we have not forgotten those days or the people who gave us the foundation for what have today! |

The heat is here, but so are the treats! This month starts off the with usual donut craziness on the 1st Saturday, July 4th.
The following week we introduce a classic: Snickerdoodle Cookies (they are amazing!) and on the 15th our seasonal Peach Pie hits the shelf. A frequently requested item, Pickle Loaf is now available in the deli. We have also made our 12" Sub Rolls available on the shelf in four-packs! In our drink cooler, we have added ZERO Sugar Lemonade (All-Natural and sweetened with stevia) and Slightly Sweet Peach Tea. Another drink folks are often happy to find is our glass bottle PA Dutch Birch Beer. This month we are grateful for our air conditioning🥵. If you need a place to cool down and eat up, we’re always happy to serve you! |

In 2021, Joe and Verina Byler started Bakery Barn LLC as a small roadside stand along US Rt.50. Their choice of baked goods was rooted in both their families’ traditions of baking, both at home and as a business, with donuts, breads, sweet rolls, and sweet breads being the staples that the community quickly came to know and love. Everything was baked in a mini barn (hence the name) and transported to the sales location. The project grew so rapidly that by 2022 they were looking to open a brick-and-mortar location. This became reality in March 2022, with a deli and sandwich stand being added in February 2024. They continue to look for ways to further serve the community with high quality, affordable products and excellent service.
